PRO ATHLETES ARE ALWAYS MAKING COMEBACKS.
WHY NOT YOU?

For every reason that an athlete may have temporarily walked
away from a sport, like injury, time consuming business or family
matters, or health issues, there are just as many good reasons
to return to your training or exercise program. Like strengthening
weakened muscles, stress relief or improving your cardiovascular
levels.

The most important thing to remember is that you shouldn’t
necessarily start where you left off. As they say in the beginning
of all those exercise shows, “consult your doctor first.” Once you
get a green light from your physician, it’s time to jump back in,
but only at a pace that your body and mind can handle.

Those ten mile runs or hundred laps in the pool may have been
where you left off, but they should become your new long-term
goals, not your starting point. Ease back into your program. Set
realistic goals. Be patient. You’ll be amazed at your body’s “muscle
memory” and how quickly you get right back up to where you were.
